I'm excited to announce that GM Assistant is no longer just me! We're building a small team:
- Andrei - Part-time contractor working on development and social media. He's also a game dev, checkout out his fast paced strategic card game Hidden Marks
- Courtney Stover - Part-time project manager helping keep everything organized (check her out and her Roll Play Grow podcast for tabletop entrepreneurs!)
Having help means we can move faster on features and improvements while maintaining the quality and philosophy you expect from GM Assistant.

What's New?
UI Preferences
You can now override your light/dark mode system settings in your account settings.
New Auto Copy Workflow
We've reorganized the session notes interface to make it a little more streamlined. Now by default, analysis results will be automatically copied to your session notes when the analysis completes.
Performance Improvements
The app now only sends the fields you've actually changed, making saves faster and more efficient. As well as a couple other small tweaks to make things feel more zippy.
Minor Enhancements
✅ Duplicate audio detection - GM Assistant now warns you if you try to upload the same audio file you've used before, preventing accidental duplicate analyses. Don't worry, we do this with sha256 hashes, so we still do not keep any of your audio around.
✅ Scene list updates - Fixed an issue where the scene list wouldn't update properly when adding new scenes
✅ Improved drag-and-drop - Elements no longer accidentally expand/collapse immediately after dragging them
✅ UI polish - Consistent input field colors, better modal overlay colors, improved button spacing, and other visual refinements
What's Next?
We're continuing to focus on UI improvements and redesigns to make GM Assistant more intuitive and pleasant to use.
Coming Soon: Memorable Moments - We're working on a new feature that will automatically extract quotes, funny moments, and epic moments from your game sessions. Never forget those hilarious one-liners or clutch roles again!
