GM Assistant: Quick Glance

  • We don't use user data to train AI
  • We don't use AI in our advertising
  • Most of our AI inference happens on our own hardware running on solar power
  • User data is stored securely and can be deleted at any time

What's all this AI Controversy?

There are a number of extremely valid criticisms regarding the common use of AI technology, including:

  • Unauthorized use of intellectual property in the pre-training and/or fine-tuning of AI models.
  • Use of AI replacing work that could potentially be performed (or performed better) by a human.
  • A plethora of half-baked, sub-par AI tools and content flooding the market.
  • The massive energy needs to train AI models, and to a much lesser extent, use them.

Check out some of the ways we address these concerns in this blog post.

Our Philosophy

We utilize AI thoughtfully, focusing on enhancing efficiency without overshadowing human creativity. By avoiding generative features that produce content like artwork, character backstories, or plots, we reduce the impact and demand on AI models that may have been trained using unauthorized or stolen data.

This approach ensures that we support the creative process rather than undermine it, aligning our tools with services like spell-checkers, speech-to-text, or voice recognition software—all AI technologies that assist rather than replace human input.
